MARCUS SKIDMORE

Major: Industrial Technology
Interning at Grain Millers has been an amazing experience. Being able to get real industrial work experience has been so beneficial. Throughout my time as an intern I have learned more about the milling processes, worked on various projects involving mill improvement processes, and shadowed operators to learn the best milling practices.
JACOB GRATZ

Major: Agriculture Food and Business Management with a minor in Agronomy

Working at Grain Millers has been a great experience. I’ve had the opportunity to travel across much of the Midwest, connect with growers, and see firsthand how crops are progressing. By sharing what I’ve observed in the field. I’ve been able to provide valuable insight to the team and support decision-making throughout the company.
MATTHEW SPILCHUK

Major: Crop Sciences
Hello, my name is Matthew Spilchuk and I am this year’s Summer Field Representative in Yorkton. I am currently going into my third year at the University of Saskatchewan majoring in Crop Sciences. My interest in the agriculture business began when I was a young kid sitting in the buddy seat of the combine with my grandpa and has developed into a real passion and hopefully a successful career. I took this job at Grain Millers because it is the perfect steppingstone into my future plans to become an agronomist, but more importantly the people at Grain Millers are great. They have welcomed me with open arms and given me guidance throughout my time here. I have been extremely grateful for my time here so far and am looking forward to a great summer here at Grain Millers!
JACK SPARROW

Grain Millers has given me a great opportunity to learn about the milling process and the equipment and operators that it takes to keep it all going. It has been a fulfilling experience not only getting to learn about the mill but also getting involved in hands-on projects that can help make a difference in the company.
RYAN COLLINS
Indiana University
Major: Finance
My finance internship at Grain Millers has been a great learning experience so far. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a variety of people across the company while gaining hands-on experience with tools like Power BI and Excel. I’ve also helped with invoice coding and other finance-related projects, which has given me a better understanding of how the finance team supports daily operations. This experience has helped me build my technical and communication skills, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue learning in a real-world business setting.
HAILEY GIER
Kansas State University
Major: Milling Science
My experience at Grain Millers has been nothing short of amazing! I have had the opportunity to dive into the world of oat milling and the many different things that contribute to the final products. I have loved seeing the different perspectives, like receiving, lab, and bran mill. Everyone has been so open to answering any questions I have and is always willing to make sure I understand. I cannot wait to learn more and ask even more questions as well as make more memories to take back to Kansas State in the fall!
NATHAN LANGEMEIER
Purdue University
Major: Agricultural Engineering
I’m a returning Engineering Intern at Grain Millers’ Marion Corn Dry Mill. So far, I’ve had the opportunity to work on improving electrical documentation, developing HMI applications, and an automation retrofit project for one of our legacy systems. I have had a great experience so far and cannot wait to see what else I’ll do!

Working with Grain Millers has created connections that I will use for the rest of my life and allowed me to learn more about how we go from inbound corn to consumable products we see everywhere.
