EUGENE GREEN TEAM
The Eugene Green Team was launched days before the end of our fiscal year in September, 
led by Trevor Strahl, Safety Manager in Eugene Oregon. This team set short-term goals including 
water bottle fillers in breakrooms, automatic lights in the Mill Tower, air leak audits, and PPE tracking. 
Looking forward, the Eugene Green Team will be working to implement LED lighting updates, soft tote 
recycling, forklift electrification, and more.
Renewable energy investment is a space we continue 
to explore, and feel is essential for our sustainability 
commitments. This year we signed a 5-year contract for 
renewable energy credits (RECs) at our flax processing facility 
in Newton, WI. The total RECs purchased will be equivalent 
to 10% of Newton’s monthly energy usage; however, 
this investment started halfway through FY 2025. Further 
investment in renewables is a key priority area for Grain 
Millers as we look to reduce our GHG footprint.
