Following the successful launch of our Safety Mentorship Program in 2024, we expanded 
to two additional locations in 2025. We now have 20 safety mentors who support 
new hires through a structured 15-week program, meeting weekly to train and educate 
key risks, controls, and best practices. The program accelerates onboarding, reinforces 
safe habits, and strengthens peer-to-peer accountability.
At Grain Millers, doing the right thing for our people, our products, and our partners 
is core to how we operate. We invest in employee health and wellbeing because 
healthier teams are safer, more engaged, and better able to serve our customers and 
communities. We advance social sustainability and inclusion by paying fairly, expanding 
paid time off, and building transparent performance and feedback practices ensuring 
every employee feels valued and connected to our purpose.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Throughout 2025, we continued leveraging our Axonify online learning platform, adding new 
modules addressing safety, quality, HR, and operations. As captured in the graph below, these 
efforts have strengthened knowledge in safety, environmental compliance, food safety, quality, 
and HR policy and practices—critical areas for operational excellence.
STRENGTHENED WELLBEING PARTICIPATION AND AWARENESS
Transitioned benefits guide to an online format for easy access by employees and 
their families and eliminating print needs. In addition, we continued to promote the 
Grain Millers Workplace Wellbeing program through monthly newsletters and offered 
alternative paths to earn incentives for employees with different health statuses through 
BlueCare Advisor.
IMPROVED ACCESS TO LEAVE AND CAREGIVER SUPPORT
Reinforce childbirth recovery and parental bonding leave (100% wage replacement 
within policy limits) and increase EAP utilization.
EVOLVED THE CULTURE OF FEEDBACK AND PERFORMANCE
We launched “Performance with Purpose” ensuring that each employee received a 
performance review. This promotes feedback culture, so everyone understands how 
their role and contributions impact the overall company.
ESTABLISHED AND MAINTAINED THE AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PLAN
Within this, we partnered with CircaWorks who posts our jobs to the state Electronic 
System Delivery Sites to and give protected veterans the first opportunity to apply 
to our jobs. This helps Grain Millers take the steps to continue to build a diverse 
workforce and inclusive culture.
In 2026, we will broaden the impact of the Axonify platform by deploying a more robust, 
position-specific on-the-job training program. This will enhance new employee onboarding, 
standardize expectations around skills and workflows, and improve time to competency, 
which, in turn, will have a positive impact on employee safety.
