Rolled Oats

To create rolled oats, whole grain groats are first steamed, then rolled flat into flakes. Sometimes referred to as “old-fashioned” oats, rolled oats cook faster than steel-cut oats and are a great source of soluble fiber (beta glucans) along with other phytochemicals such as avenanthramides. Rolled oats provide a rich oat flavor to a variety of common products like granola bars, cookies, muffins, cereals, and beverages because they can provide flavor, texture, and nutrition.

Baby Rolled Oats

Baby rolled oats are often used to add nutrition to baked goods. They also are useful in applications where high-water absorption is needed, like in flavored instant oatmeal.

Instant Rolled Oats

Instant oats are pre-cooked, dehydrated, and then rolled and pressed slightly thinner than rolled oats to cook even more quickly—you just need to add hot water. Because instant rolled oats are the most processed oat product, they retain less of their texture and can cook up somewhat mushy.

Quick Rolled Oats

Prepared similarly to rolled oats, quick rolled oats (sometimes called instant oats) are simply cut finer and rolled thinner, resulting in a cooking time of just two to three minutes. They are commonly found in pouches with seasonings and sweeteners for a quick and nutritious breakfast. Quick rolled oats are also used in breads, bars, and granola. Have a specialized application? We are happy to modify the thickness of our quick rolled oats to suit your needs.

Regular Rolled Oats

Regular rolled oats (sometimes called old fashioned oats) require ten to fifteen minutes of cooking time before being served as a popular breakfast meal. In addition, they are a primary ingredient in a number of applications, such as cookies, breads, and granola. We can always adjust the thickness and absorbency to accommodate your specific requirements.

Thick Rolled Oats

Thick rolled oats provide a textural difference (a more solid “bite” than regular rolled oats) while still maintaining the high nutritional value common in all oat products. Thick rolled oats are frequently used in breads, energy bars, and granola. Let’s talk about how we can provide just the right thickness and absorbency for your application.

Oat Crush

Oat flakes that are shredded to a coarse flour-like consistency. Oat crush is often used as a textural ingredient and for absorption and thickening.
