Peas

Pea pods are botanically a fruit. They are most commonly green, or occasionally golden yellow, and there are several pea seeds found in a pod. Many varying types of foods can be made with peas. In the US they are typically used in soups or milled into flour. Peas are starchy, but high in fiber, protein, vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin K, phosphorus, magnesium, copper, iron, zinc, and lutein.
