Oat Groats

Whole oat groats (or WOG) are the product of cleaning and dehulling oats and kilning the resulting groats. This is the basic raw material for stable oat-based products from oat flour to instant oats. 

Large cylindrical steel cutters chop kilned whole oat groats into steel-cut groats, which shortens cooking time while maintaining the whole-grain nutritional value. Steel-cut groats can be used as a hot cereal on the breakfast table, or baked into breads. Steel-cut groats are sometimes sorted into fine, medium and coarse granulations, or sold as a mixed-granulation product. We customize our steel-cut granulations to fit your needs.
